Acker Bilk and His Paramount Jazz Band first gained worldwide fame with the hit single Stranger On The Shore in 1962 - it stayed in the charts for 55 weeks and was the first number one hit in the UK and USA simultaneously.

Since that time Acker and his Paramount Jazz Band have firmly established themselves as one of the most successful and best loved British jazz bands of all time.

Acker and his band will be appearing at the Exmouth Pavilion on Friday, April 19 at 7.30pm.
