Dalwood Country Fair and other dates for your diary

Fetes, fairs and other entertainment is taking place across the area, see below for more details.

It will open with a wild west-themed procession, which will assemble on the Jubilee Field at 1.30pm, to process to the Fair Field for a 2pm start to the main event.

Among the attractions on offer will be riding on the bucking bronco, Honiton Brass Band and a fun dog show.

● Sunningdale House and Adelaide Lodge in Honiton will be holding a summer fete fundraising extravaganza.

Entry is free to the event on Thursday, August 21, from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, at Sunningdale House, 31 Kings Road.

There will be live music and other entertainment, face painting, stalls, a tombola, crafts, raffle and other activities.

Visitors can treat themselves to a cream tea, strawberries and cream and other refreshments.

There will also be a barbecue.

● It will be a busy week for Honiton rockers Sweet Black Angels as the band gets set to entertain audiences this week.

The band will be performing at Boston Tea Party, High Street, Honiton, tomorrow (Thursday), at 7.30pm.

Sweet Black Angels will also be playing on Friday, from 1pm to 1.45pm, at this year’s Beautiful Days festival at Escot Park.

● There will be a moving house drive sale at 30 Newbery, Colyton on Saturday, August 16, between 10.30am - 5.30pm.

In the event of bad wet weather, the sale will be cancelled.

● Axminster Drama Club will be staging Neville’s Island from Thursday, September 4, to Saturday, September 6, at the Guildhall, in West Street and tickets will soon be on sale.
