dancing to a big band is becoming a rare experience these days but it is reassuring to know that the swinging sounds of Glenn Miller and the Forties can be heard when played by popular Devon based AJ’s Big Band.
The seventeen piece band, now into its thirtieth year, will be on stage at the Public Hall in Budleigh Salterton on Friday, November 8, for a big band dance commencing at 8pm.
As usual the packed programme of classics, old and new, will include an exciting collection of waltzes, foxtrots, latin, jive and much more guaranteed to get everyone on the dance floor.
Complementing the band’s top class instrumental line-up is songstress Paula Mitchell, an exceptional vocalist with a sassy personality.
Seating is cabaret style with light refreshments and a wine bar available.
Tickets, priced £14.50, are available from TIC Budleigh Salterton on 01395 445275 or Exmouth Information Centre on 01395 222299.
