When you hear the name, The Three Degrees, you immediately think of their most famous song, When Will I See You Again, and the vision of three beautiful, ebony women, perfectly co-ordinated in both their dance routines and their vocal harmonies.
True, When Will I See You Again was a major hit record throughout the world, topping the chart in the USA, the UK, Japan and most European countries, earning the trio every conceivable accolade at the time -- not to mention enough Gold records to make Fort Knox a little envious!
More than two decades on, the threesome have retained all three of their major qualities -- their beauty, their sparkling choreography and their precise vocal qualities. And, in between, they have amassed an impressive list of hit records.
Today, the line-up consists of Valerie Holiday, Helen Scott and Freddie Pool and they are coming to The Exmouth Pavilion on Saturday, October 8, at 8pm.
Tickets are priced at £19.50 and concessions £18 and are available at the Exmouth Pavilion Box office on (01395) 222477 or visit the website on
www.exmouthpavilion.co.uk to book your tickets online.
For all true fans, the Pavilion has 60 special tickets where, for £27.50, you get a reserved seat, a glass of bubbly and meet and greet the ladies after the show for photos, chat and autographs.
Who knows, with the girls’ biggest fan being Prince Charles, what are the chances of him also being at the Pavilion on Saturday, October 8?
n The Exmouth Journal is offering one lucky reader the chance to win a pair of tickets to, not only see The Three Degrees, but to meet the ladies after the show with champagne.
To enter the competition, simply answer the following question:
