The North Devon Gazette’s sister title, Devon Life, is looking for Devon’s best home cook to be crowned the Devon Life Home Cook of the Year.

It’s free to enter and all you have to do is wow the judges with a three-course menu plan that showcases your love of cooking.

Devon Life has teamed up with Exeter-based Bradburys Kitchens to launch the competition, with the support of Alno Kitchens, Miele and Waitrose, and there are just three rules for taking part.

● You live in Devon or own a home in Devon.

● You must not have any professional cooking experience.

● You must be over the age of 18.

The first prize winner will take home a £500 John Lewis voucher, a brand-new £500 KitchenAid mixer and get the chance to cook with the head chef at Lewtrenchard Manor for the day.

Second prize is a weekend cookery course at the award-winning Ashburton Cookery school (worth almost £500), while third prize is a romantic dinner for two at the Moorland Garden Hotel’s Wildflower Restaurant, voted Best Restaurant in the South West Taste of the West awards.

For entry details visit devonlife.co.uk.

The competition closes on Wednesday, June 11, and the winners will be announced at the Devon Life Food and Drink Awards in November.
